Yihan Wang

Profile

Yihan Wang is a Doctoral Candidate at Boston College School of Social Work. Her research focuses on two areas: technology use and gratification among older adults and retirement health and well-being. Her dissertation examines psychosocial aspects of retirement planning, using the Health and Retirement Study (HRS).

She is currently leading a project to conduct a systematic review of risks and protective factors of loneliness among older Asian immigrants in the U.S. She is actively participating in another multi-disciplinary research team which designed an intervention study that uses WeChat apps to promote physical exercises among Chinese older adults in Boston.

Yihan is on the job market this year, and her goal is to find an assistant professor position in a research-focused school.
