Melissa Cronin, MSW, is a part-time faculty member at the Graduate School of Social Work. She comes to the School of Social Work from the world of practice where she is a social good consultant who works with start-ups and nonprofits on a variety of projects and social good initiatives. She was Chief of Staff at 92nd Street Y in New York City, a cultural and community center that was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Nonprofits in 2016. At 92Y, she was part of the team that launched #GivingTuesday, a global philanthropic movement that has participation in 150 countries and generates millions of dollars for good causes. Prior to working with 92Y, Melissa was a Regional Program Advisor with Habitat for Humanity in Asia Pacific, supporting programs and the development of innovative, community-led initiatives across the region.
