Profile

I work in private practice in Boston with adults who were severely chronically traumatized as children. I am trained in Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT and AEDP therapies. I have primarily worked in the domestic violence and rape crisis fields, as well as mental health clinics and in multiple hospital social work roles (emergency department, oncology, labor and delivery, and neonatal and pediatric ICU,) before moving into private practice. I have research experience studying gender based violence; the interface of racism and homophobia on gender based violence; and correlate factors that influence male children who sexually offend other children. I enjoy attending trainings, reading about and researching the influences of colonization, racism, transphobia, homophobia and poverty in therapeutic encounters, and their influences on the development of mind and self. I also am a fan of learning anything I can about dissociation, how it manifests and impacts wellbeing and thwarts clinical progress.
