Biography

Andrew Kang is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and former lawyer practicing in downtown Boston, MA. He specializes in treating those struggling with substance abuse, work stress, depression, and anxiety. He makes use of a range of skill-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which center on managing difficult emotions and building concrete strategies for a more positive life experience.

Andrew centers his clients on a behavioral model to help them achieve manageable progress towards long-term recovery. He works closely with clients to battle against stigma that they may face for experiencing addiction, stress, anxiety, or depression in professional and academic settings. With a decade of experience as a lawyer, Andrew is uniquely positioned to understand the demands of a high-pressure career, and helps professionals of all disciplines achieve greater balance in their working and home lives.
