Evidence-Based, Field-Focused

The BCSSW faculty comprise a dynamic collection of scholars, clinicians, scientists, and leaders from a variety of industries—all dedicated to work that improves the lives of the most vulnerable.

Our faculty include social workers with decades of experience, sociologists, public health professionals, neuroscientists, and former nonprofit directors who bring their passion and expertise into the classroom and the field to create transformative, evidence-based interventions.

In-house research centers, institutes, and labs provide places to collaborate, host programming, and establish opportunities for student learning and engagement.

Our faculty conducts rigorous, cutting-edge studies that deepen our understanding of complex social issues and innovations in social work practice. They also maintain clinical practices, lead organizations, and work in state and local government. Faculty members draw upon these experiences to prepare our students for practice excellence.
