Biography
Jane Cassidy is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator from Galway, Ireland. In 2008, Jane earned a Masters in Music and Media Technologies from Trinity College Dublin and an MFA in Digital Art from Tulane University in 2014. Jane’s main interests lie in audio-visual immersive environments, visual music, live VJing and multi-channel work. Experimentation is central to her work and she is constantly attempting to forge new techniques to build new ephemeral environments and architectures. Past installations include the European Media Arts Festival, Germany, The New Orleans Film Festival, Louisiana, Punto Y Raya Festival, Spain, group exhibitions in the US and Europe and had solo shows at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Art, Alabama, The Ann Arbor Film Festival, Michigan and Parse Gallery, Louisiana.
