Archdiocese of Boston
Home to the nation's oldest public school system, as well as some of the nation's oldest educational institutions, the city of Boston is practically synonymous with education. Since 1997, UCTC has committed itself to serving the mission of the Archdiocese of Boston by developing the whole child. UCTC Members will serve in schools throughout the Diocese, incuding in Boston, Brockton, and Lawrence. UCTC works in partnership with those schools to help sustain classroom and school environments that are "models of the Holy Family where children are loved, parents are partners, and faculty and staff are supported in their faith and professional lives."
Applicants who are chosen for UCTC may be placed throughout the Archdiocese of Boston.
“During my first year in UCTC, I became involved with the Dorchester community organization Redefining Our Community. It gives me a better sense of the area in which I am living and makes me feel like a part of it. I no longer feel like a Midwestern kid who was dropped in a neighborhood of Boston, but instead I feel as if I am a member of our neighborhood community. ”
