Julie Kobick is an Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. She represents the Commonwealth in cases challenging state laws, regulations, and agency actions. Her work spans subjects ranging from the Commonwealth’s response to the opioid epidemic, to Second Amendment challenges to firearms regulation, to education policy, to gaming in Massachusetts. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Julie served as a law clerk for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Michael Chagares of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and Judge F. Dennis Saylor of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. As a Rappaport Fellow in 2008, Julie worked at the Office of the Governor’s Legal Counsel. Before law school, Julie was an elementary school teacher in the Bronx and a Teach for America corps member.
