Clinical Associate Professor
William Paul Fehder, Ph.D., CRNA is a clinical associate professor at the Connell School of Nursing. A nurse anesthetist with over 40 years of experience, Dr. Fehder is currently in active practice at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Boston. He has also held nurse anesthetist positions in Massachusetts General Hospital and Mt. Auburn Hospital since joining Boston College in 2008. Prior to Boston College, Dr. Fehder was a Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at New York University from 2005-2008 and Associate Professor and Clinical Director for the Graduate Program in Anesthesia for Nurses in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University from 1997-2003.
Dr. Fehder has been the vice-president of the Upsilon chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing, since 2007. He has been a manuscript reviewer for Anesthesiology, The Journal of the American Society of Anesthesiologists since 2010. Dr. Fehder’s contributions to nursing are evidenced by his numerous publications and presentations. Dr. Fehder is currently the chair of the Continuing Education Committee in the Connell School.
