Dr. Monica O’Reilly-Jacob, Ph.D., FNP-BC is a nursing health services researcher and practicing family nurse practitioner. She uses clinical experience and Medicare claims expertise to study the cost and resource utilization of nurse practitioner provided care. Her most recent studies use low-value imaging measures to examine patterns of low-value care utilization across clinician types. Monica is also active in Academyhealth's interdisciplinary research efforts to address and reduce low-value care.
For ten years prior to her doctorate in health policy, Monica provided primary and urgent care to vulnerable populations in federally qualified community health centers and rural clinics of Central America.
