Inform Us of Your Enrollment Decision

Submit Your Deposit

Please inform us of your enrollment decision and submit your deposit. Deposit deadline is Monday, March 1, 2021. At the time of acceptance, we require a non-refundable deposit to reserve your place in the program. The deposit will be credited to your first semester’s tuition.

To inform us of your enrollment decision, please complete the following steps:

  1. Submit your reply form on your application status page.
  2. Submit your deposit after accepting a position in the program.

Admitted Eagle Day

Congratulations on your acceptance!

We will be hosting an Admitted Eagle Day for all Direct Entry students on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Please RSVP by Thursday, February 18, 2021 via the invitation in your acceptance email. More details to follow.

University Requirements

CPR Certification, Immunizations & Castlebranch

CPR Certification

Students are required to get CPR certified prior to enrolling in classes through the American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR - BLS for Health Care Providers Course (BCLS). 

Once this is completed, please retain a digital copy of your certification. This document will be required prior to the start of your clinical rotations.

Immunizations

All students are required to send-in proof of required immunizations and health forms (Graduate full time option) to University Health Services prior to June 30, 2021.

Please be sure to keep copies of ALL your updated medical records.

This information will be used as part of your clinical rotations.  Please note that some clinical sites will require for you to do additional immunizations.  The Clinical Placement Office will inform individuals ahead of time if and when additional immunizations are needed.

Additionally, if you sign up for medical insurance through Boston College, coverage will not begin until August 2020. 

Castlebranch

Each student will be required to sign up for the Castlebranch database.  Castlebranch is the database that Boston College Connell School of Nursing use to track students' medical and criminal records.  Please do not attempt to create an account without the instructions from the Clinical Placement Office.   

Any questions about clinical placement credentialing can be sent to csoncp@bc.edu.  Someone will respond in a timely manner.  

Outstanding Transcripts

Prerequisite Courses & Final Transcripts

For any outstanding prerequisite courses, please send completed transcripts to the Graduate Programs Office prior to Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

Additionally, if you graduated in Fall 2020 or Spring 2021, please send a final transcript stating the degree you received as well as the date it was conferred by your institution.

Digital transcripts can be sent via email to csongrad@bc.edu.

Financial Aid

Federal Aid & Graduate Loans

For the 2021-2022 year, graduate students who are applying for federal financial aid are to complete the new Graduate Student (Non-Law) Enrollment Form.

The following credit information may be needed for completion of the above form:

Summer 2021: 9 credits        Fall 2021: 14 credits        Spring 2022: 13 credits

Graduate Nursing Financial Aid Counselors:

Graduate students are also eligible to apply for a Graduate PLUS loan.

Incoming Graduate Student Guide

Important Information

All communication with students will be through your BC email address.  Please be sure to monitor your BC email address on a consistent basis so that you are not missing important information. 

Additionally, you can visit Information Technology Services for information on technology requirements and available technologic resources as a BC student.

You are also required to purchase the required materials before courses begin:

  • Name pin (Order through the BC Bookstore—call the store at 800-978-0978 to order and allow 2 weeks time)
  • Neutral colored professional looking shoes, clogs, or sneakers (Black, white or grey shoes are acceptable)
  • Stethoscope with a bell and diaphram (Littman Cardiology IV is recommended, but not required)
  • Watch with a second hand
  • Blood pressure cuff with pump (Latex free)
  • Books (Available at the BC Bookstore)
  • Maroon scrubs (Any shade of maroon is acceptable and can be purchased through any vendor)

  2. Make note of your BC Username and Eagle ID for step 3.
  3. Log into the BC Portal using your BC Username and BC Eagle ID (as your initial password).
  4. Select “Pay Enrollment Deposit” to complete your enrollment.

Registration

  • Once you deposit, our office will reach out to you to discuss your first semester classes and develop a plan of study. 
  • Graduate students are free to register when registration opens each semester.  You do not need a code to register.  
  • If you have any additional questions, please contact the graduate office at csongrad@bc.edu.

  • In addition, a CORI check is required for all incoming CRNA students.  The Clinical Placement Office will conduct the CORIs.
  • CPR - All students are recertified on Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support in August. This is arranged by the Nurse Anesthesia department and will be held at the end of the summer session. This recertification will cover all students through graduation.
  • Any questions about clinical placement credentialing can be sent to csoncp@bc.edu.  Someone will respond in a timely manner.
