Entrepreneurship comes with a stigma that’s deterring students from bringing their ideas to life.
Meet@Shea holds events throughout the academic year to break this stigma. Through the events, we are striving to show you that you don’t need to be male or a business major to run a business. Everyone has the potential to be an entrepreneur and we want to help make it happen.
WHAT WE DO
WE’RE NOT WAITING FOR INNOVATION TO COME TO US. WE’RE FINDING WAYS TO IGNITE CHANGE ON CAMPUS AND IN THE BUSINESS WORLD.
Entrepreneurship isn’t just limited to business students or males. We’re trying to erase the current stigma and engage students from all backgrounds. The program right now involves students majoring in economics, computer science, education, management, communication, and political science, and we’re looking for more.
FOSTER SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The program is about so much more than just traditional concepts in management. It’s built around social work principles like “Root Cause” and how to manage pressing issues for enterprises today such as inequality, justice, and sustainability.
NETWORK WITH LIKE-MINDED STUDENTS AND FACULTY
We know that not everyone on campus shares a passion for building their own business. But for those who do, we provide you with the opportunity to connect. Whether you’re in CSOM, MCAS, LSOE, or CSON, come join us and meet others that will innovate with you.
