Professor Kineke is a coastal oceanographer and an adjunct scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Her research concentrates on marine sediment transport and coastal processes, i.e. the role that waves, tides, currents and mixing of fresh and saltwater play in the transport of fine sediments. She’s studied coastal processes and sediment dispersal from muddy rivers on five continents.
