A Triple Win for Eagle Football Fans
By BCEEAN Newsletter Staff
BC Athletics, Facilities Services, and the Office of Sustainability have partnered to create an exciting new hospitality and sustainability initiative: the Game Day Ambassador program. All alumni are invited to participate as “Greening Eagles” at BC home football games. The backstory: BC has challenged itself and its fans to achieve a 50% recycling rate goal at home football games, a 25% increase over last year’s performance. Your challenge: help BC meet its goal. To boost your success rate, BC is improving recycling signage, adding more blue recycling bins, and providing arriving tailgaters with the “tried and true” recycling packet containing blue plastic recycling bags and clear plastic trash bags.
Alumni ambassadors will accompany student ambassadors in welcoming fans at selected sites, offer information about game day activities, and respond to game day recycling questions. Each alumni ambassador will receive a pair of game tickets in appreciation for your participation. Ambassador activities will take place approximately 3 hours prior to kick-off, so you will be able to enjoy the game. A brief training meeting will be held during the week prior to the game and a quick review will take place just before set up on game day. Don’t miss this win-win-win opportunity! Contact Bob Pion, Sustainability Program Director at 617-552-0339 or at Robert.email@example.com to join the Ambassador Program and to receive more information.
