Longtime BC Athletics Sports Information Director Dick Kelley died Feb. 13 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at the age of 48. While basketball was his passion and his professional focus, Kelley was a tireless supporter of all BC sports and every BC student-athlete. He was well known for his mentorship of the BC athletes and the many student assistants and interns who worked with Athletics over the years.  In 2013, Kelley was honored with the Most Courageous Award by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

BC Athletics remembers Kelley, the Boston Herald wrote about his impact on the University, and the Heights published one reporter’s tribute to him.

Daniel J. Harrington, S.J., ’64, MA’65, BD’71, H’09

School of Theology and Ministry Professor Daniel Harrington, S.J., died at Campion Center in Weston, Mass. on Feb. 7, after a four-year battle with cancer. He was 73.
