The inaugural Buehler Sesquicentennial Assistant Professor, David Miele, spoke at an event in December celebrating the Buehler family’s campaign commitment. A renowned educational psychologist, Miele discussed his research on how beliefs about ability and effort influence learning, parenting, and teaching.

Established through a generous gift from University Trustee John E. Buehler Jr. ’69 and his wife, Deborah, the endowed professorship is part of a Light the World campaign initiative to support junior faculty research and early-career development.
