Thank you for visiting the web site of the Immigration Law Trip, part of the BC Law Human Rights Program. Each spring, some twenty-five Boston College Law School students travel to Arizona, Los Angeles, Miami, Texas and Washington, DC to provide legal assistance to asylum seekers and other potential immigrants. They are faced with a variety of human rights issues relating to the plight of detained non-citizens, including fear of deportation to their native countries due to political and civil unrest, persecution or torture. The students provide much needed personal attention and legal assistance to which most detainees would otherwise not have access. Learn more about the project and how you can support our work. Get involved today! |
