Slightly curved
protruding blue veins,
like rivers,
wind their way among the
withered and swollen hills
of aged fingers and knuckles.
Populated with wrinkles
and architecturally completed
by ten thin fingernails
covered in two coats of clear gloss
and one ancient ring;
two hands
lay folded, one
upon the other,
after 90 years of
diligent services.
