“College Board” <www.collegeboard.com>
The College Board website offers many college-planning tools for students, including SAT preparation, information on more than 3,500 schools, and financial planning aids.  One part of their website is also dedicated to information for students and institutions affected by Hurricane Katrina.

“Dougy Center” <http://www.grievingchild.org>
The Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families provides group therapy for teens and children who are dealing with the loss of a loved one.  The website contains a section devoted to grieving teens that tells teens they are not alone and offers some tips on how to cope with their feelings.  The website also has a center locator so that teens and their families can find a center located near them and can start going there for therapy.

“Girls and Boys Town” <www.girlsandboystown.org>
Referenced in a recent and accredited teen magazine, this website is the homepage for a group specializing in the care of abused and neglected children. 24-hour hotline included.

“Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network” <http://www.rainn.org>
A nation-wide resource for victims of these crimes.  The website includes the hotline number and easy access to clinics/programs in the victim’s city if she provides a zip code.
