Instructions on Completing the Online Application for BCE
BCE Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
You will complete your applicaiton to the Boston College Experience through EMBARK, our online application system. CLICK THE APPLY NOW LINK BELOW TO BEGIN YOUR APPLICATION.
Once you create an account, you will be able to login and logout as often as you wish. When you log in, "Boston College Woods College of Advancing Studies" is listed on the application page and you should choose the Boston College Experience Application from the list titled "Application Type". If you accidentally select the wrong application, you can change it by selecting "Update my answers to preliminary questions" on the top of the application.
Please provide a statement of 500-750 words that explains which Boston College Experience Program you would like to participate in and why. Please include any experiences or achevements that are particularly important to you, which may not be apparent from your high school transcript. In your essay, please indicate your desired program/classes.
You will enter information about your recommenders twice when completing the online portion of the application. The first entry records this information on your application and the second entry sends an email notification to your recommendor. This notification includes a link to upload the recommendation and form found below. Your recommendor may write a recommendation letter or simply answer the questions listed on this form. Even after submitting your application you can still log into Embark to edit your recommender information or to send them a reminder.
PROPOSED PROGRAM AND COURSE SELECTION
If you are applying to any of the six-week, non credit programs and plan to live on campus, you must enroll in two courses.
For applicants to the Boston College Honors Program, after you are accepted, you will recieve further information and instructions regarding chosing the two courses you wish to enroll in.
For the Honors Math Experience Program, you will chose one course in addition to the foundational Excursions in Math course.

If you are applying to a three or two week Boston College Challenge program, the two course requirerment for residential students does not apply. Please do not chose additional courses.
A $25.00 non-refundable fee is required to submit an application. Please follow instruction on Embark for payment options.
CHECKING YOUR APPLICATION STATUS - VERY IMPORTANT
When you submit your application through Embark, you will immediately receive an email with login credentials that will allow you to log into our student account system (Agora Portal) to review your application status. If you do not receive this email, you may have missed the last step required to submit your application.
PLEASE NOTE: it is up to applicants to monitor the status of their applications to ensure all required documents have been received. We cannot review incomplete applications.
