Summer Institute students who apply to live on-campus will have air-conditioned accommodations. Units are apartment-style dorms and include two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a common room, and storage space.
Basic linen service will be provided for each participant upon their arrival. This includes a supply bag that contains linens, towels, and a roll of toilet paper. Trash barrels with three liners will also be provided for the suite. There will be no linen exchange. There is a $25.00 charge for each set of linens provided. If you do not wish to have the basic linen service, please indicate this in the comments section of your housing application; otherwise you will receive and be charged for the basic linen service. Blankets, washcloths, dishes, pots, pans, glasses, silverware and other utensils are NOT provided. If you wish to use these, you will need to supply them. Dining facilities are available for those who choose not to cook.

The Summer Session Housing Application will be available via the Agora Portal beginning April 8 and are due by June 21. Please note: You will need your BC username and password to access your account and apply for housing. New students will receive an e-mail with your username and password once you register for your summer course(s).
Due to space restrictions, housing assignments will be granted based on the date we receive your application. Once housing is filled the online application will be closed regardless if the application deadline has not passed. All students applying for STM Housing must confirm that they have read and agree to the Summer Housing Residence Agreement during the application process.
Once your Summer Housing Application has been submitted, it will retain the status "Incomplete" until it has been processed by staff. Once it has been processed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Application processing will not begin until Tuesday, May 26. In order for the application to be approved, you must be registered for a course within the applicable session. Students not registered upon submission of a Summer Housing Application will not be approved. To prevent a delay in processing, please register for your courses prior to applying for housing.

Singles are not guaranteed for participants and are on a space available basis only. Please make sure you have applied by the June 2015 deadline. Summer Housing cannot guarantee housing for applications received after the June 2015 deadline. Single Accommodation includes a single bedroom in a shared apartment.
Double Accommodation includes a shared bedroom in a shared apartment.
Each bedroom is furnished with two single beds, two desks, two study chairs, and two dressers.
All buildings at Boston College, including the residence halls, are smoke free.
If you have a specific person with whom you want to share your room or apartment, please indicate so on the application form. You may request a only person who is taking the same sessions as you are. We are unable to "hold" a space for two weeks until a friend arrives. Conversely, should your roommate/apartment mate leave earlier than you, we will need to fill the bed space with a new student.
Unfortunately, Summer Housing is not able to house Summer Institute students before or after the session. Please plan your travel accordingly. If you must arrive to the city before your session, you may apply to stay in the Summer Guest House. To register for Summer Guest House, visit www.bc.edu/guesthouse. Due to the limited time available to prepare the halls, no one will be allowed to move into their assignment until the official move-in day.

Summer Institute students bringing a spouse should apply for double accommodations and indicate you are bringing a spouse in the comment section of the application. You will be responsible for paying for each occupant for a total of $73.50 per night. Please note that there are different rates per night for spouses and family members, which are listed in the table above.
Please note: Family occupancy apartments are extremely limited and will be distributed in accordance to need by STM. Family occupancy is designed for Summer Institute students with children. STM participants planning on bringing family members must indicate this on their application and register for an entire two bedroom apartment. Family apartments are only available with space availability due to space restrictions. Please contact the Summer Housing office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are considering bringing your family.

STM Summer Institute students will check in for housing at the Summer Welcome Center, located in Stayer Hall at 110 St. Thomas More Drive, which is a short walk from Vouté Hall. If you are taking a taxi to campus, you may want to have the taxi wait while you check in and drive you to the residence hall.
The hours for the Summer Welcome Center are from 9:00 – 1:00 a.m. daily. Please do not arrive outside these hours, as there will be no staff available to check you in. If you have an international flight that arrives after 1:00 a.m. please e-mail email@example.com to make specific arrangements. After May 20, you may also call the Welcome Center directly at (617) 655-5555. Although the Summer Welcome Center is open until 1:00 a.m., please call between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. if you have questions.
Housing check-out time is Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the Summer Welcome Center. Keys must be returned upon check-out. Keys not returned will result in a charge assessed to the student’s account.
SUMMER HOUSING PAYMENT
Once your summer housing application has been received and accepted, your room fees will be charged to your student account. The Office of Residential Life will e-mail you a confirmation once your application has been accepted. You can review and make payments to your student account on the Agora Portal or submit your housing payment to the STM. Payment for housing must be submitted prior to check-in. Students who have not paid for housing and tuition charges will not be admitted to class until charges are paid.
