Student Life Committee

IREPM's Student Life Committee, composed of IREPM students and staff, serves a two-fold function: first, as a forum for discussing student views on current or proposed policies, and secondly, to provide support for events and activities of a social, liturgical or cultural nature. During the academic year the Student Life Committee meets monthly over the lunch hour to plan events for the IREPM community. Past events have included the annual Walk for Hunger, volunteering at food banks and group facilities. There are also social excursions to the Tanglewood Music Festival, Museum of Fine Arts and trips to the Cape, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Newport, Rhode Island. Students also attend Red Sox games, the Dancer's Christmas put on by the Boston College Liturgical Dancers, apple picking trips and kayaking trips on the Charles River, to name a few.

The Student Life Committee works with the Graduate Student Association representing all graduate students at Boston College, attending and supporting their regular social, community service and educational events. The meetings of the Student Life Committee during the IREPM Summer Session meet weekly.

All events sponsored by the Student Life Committee will be advertised in the IREPM Calendar, Outreach Newsletter and the weekly IREPM email updates. If you would like to participate in the committee (academic year or summer), please watch for announcements in the Outreach Newsletter or in the email updates for the exact date of the meeting.
