Welcome to historic Boston and IREPM's Summer Program!
We would like to invite you to several events which we have assembled for your orientation to Boston College. Some of these events have been designed to provide you with an introduction to summer study at Boston College, and to give you a chance to meet other new students, as well as "alums" of past summers. If you plan to live on campus, you will want to arrive early enough on Sunday to settle in before the events begin.
Spouses and families are welcome to attend all events on Sunday. IREPM staff members will be available at both the Orientation and at the Welcome Reception.Orientation will include an introduction to the summer staff and an explanation of various aspects of campus life at Boston College. Upon arrival, check at the reception desk for the location of the Gathering Place. The dates and times will be posted in Spring of 2008.
Finally, there are several important items regarding housing to highlight. First, make sure you indicate that you want to be placed with the other IREPM students on the housing application. If you are living on campus, you will receive literature from the Housing Office, which indicates what you can and cannot expect to find in your living accommodations. Please take note of what you will need (e.g. blankets, pots, pans, silverware, can openers, etc.) For more housing information, see Summer Housing. We look forward to your arrival at Boston College, and hope you have a safe trip to Boston "Beantown."
Sincerely,
Maura Colleary
