The clinical social work program at Boston College prepares you to be a dynamic professional social worker able to make a difference in a variety of clinical roles as you draw on research skills to assess your effectiveness with clients. Emphasis in the classroom and your field experiences is on providing you with a wide range of skills and interventions to use in your work with individuals, families and groups. Your clinical social work education will help you understand connections between interpersonal, social and cultural forces affecting the lives of your clients. Of particular importance in the program is sensitivity to race, ethnicity, gender and socio-economic status.
