His primary areas of interest and research are the foundations of moral theology, the role of emotions in Christian life, the development of Christian understandings of sexuality, the updating of bioethics, and the place of ethics in business.

About:
Professor of Moral Theology, Father Edward Vacek, S.J., was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Professor Vacek has a Classical MA and a PhL in Philosophy from St. Louis University, an MDiv from Weston School of Theology, a PhD in philosophy from Northwestern University, and an STL from Loyola University in Chicago.
