Angels, Demons, Cain, and the Madness of King Saul
LECTURE IN HONOR OF RICHARD J. CLIFFORD, S.J.
March 26, 2014
Presenter: Anne Marie Kitz
Unlike the New Testament that is replete with demons, the existence and nature of God’s associate supernatural beings have long troubled Old Testament scholars. This lecture will examine two such beings, “The Spirit/Breath of God” and the so-called “Lurker,” to determine their relationship with Yahweh. Are they angels? Are they demons? Or are they something else?
