Associate Director of Campus Ministry
A Campus Minister at Villanova University supports the mission of the University as expressed in the mission of Campus Ministry. As a member of the Campus Ministry Service and Social Justice Team, the minister will co-coordinate the Service Break Program. Campus Ministry’s Service Break Program plays an important role in the education and formation of the Villanova community. It provides opportunities for Villanova’s students, faculty, staff and alumni to practice their faith through service in the United States and around the world for 1-2 weeks during university breaks.
The program currently coordinates approximately 50 Service Break Experiences (800 students) per year working in collaboration with partner organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Hand in Hand Ministries, VIA International, and others. Emphasis is on implementing opportunities for community engagement, education, reflection and celebration that encourage students to learn about the needs of the poor, to reflect on service as praxis of faith and to seek ways to be engaged in the struggle for social justice. A strong justice orientation is essential for this work.
Masters Degree in Theology/Pastoral Ministry or equivalent required with experience in higher education.
