Assumption College, a four-year Catholic, liberal arts institution sponsored by the Augustinians of the Assumption, invites applications for the position of Director of Campus Ministry. The Director works with a team of Campus Ministers, exercises leadership and management of the Campus Ministry Department, fosters education in the faith, spiritual growth, and the liturgical life of the members of the Assumption College community and assists in carrying out the Catholic and Assumptionist mission of the College. He/she provides vision and oversight for Campus Ministry programs and staff, including retreats, liturgy, missions and community service, sacramental preparation, spiritual direction and counseling, and works in collaboration with other College offices and departments as appropriate. He/she reports to the Vice President for Mission.
Requirements: The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic who has prior experience in working in higher education (preferably five years in Campus Ministry at a Catholic college). He/she should possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, creativity, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. In addition to these requisite skills, the candidate should think with the Church and be committed to the new evangelization as it relates to ministry in a college setting. A Master's degree in Theology, Pastoral Counseling, or a related field is required. Preference will be given to the candidate with a high level of familiarity with Microsoft Office and other technology programs.
