General Job Description
The Program Manager (PM) is a full time salaried position overseeing all community programs including Morning and Evening Hospitality, Afternoon Food Pantry and Saturday Immersions. The PM works closely with other program staff and volunteers to manage the day to day operations of hospitality in addition to serving as the volunteer coordinator and immediate staff supervisor to other program staff. The PM also works closely with the Parish Administrator/Priest, Director of Finance and Facilities, and Director of Marketing and Development to oversee the development and sustainability of programs and assist in general parish administration.
-B.A./B.S. degree is required
-3-5 years direct experience in program management, preferably in a human/social service setting
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-High degree of independence, creativity, and prioritization to take action and solve problems
-Functions as a team leader to programs & team member to leadership
-Focus on Catholic, mission-driven, and service-oriented work
-Excellent organization and delegation skills
-Effective public relations & community stewardship skills
-Ability to negotiate and navigate complex situations is important
-Position requires highly developed interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain confidentiality
-Proficiency with PC & Mac software, client & volunteer database, and all basic office equipment is required
-Valid driver’s license required
-A high level of competence to effectively work with and engage program participants experiencing homelessness, extreme poverty, mental illness, addiction, and isolation is essential – this may include de-escalation, mediation, and a strict adherence to policies of individual behavior and community safety & welfare.
Compensation & Benefits
-Starting salary $35,000 – $40,000 DOE
