Visit Us

school of theology and ministry

The Admissions Office welcomes prospective student visits throughout the year.  During these individual or small group visits, you will have an opportunity to meet our faculty and students, tour our beautiful building and campus, and get a good understanding of graduate student life at Boston College.

Spring Visit Schedule

Visits during the spring are encouraged and offered during the academic term.  Visits this semester run from January 12th through May 1st. If you can, we encourage you to visit on a Thursday.  On that day there are no classes from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. so that the school community can gather for liturgy and a lunch provided by Boston College.

A Thursday visit to campus generally has the following schedule:

9:00 a.m.  Meet with a member of the admissions team
  9:30 a.m.  Attend a class
  12:15 p.m.  STM liturgy
  1:00 p.m.  STM community lunch
  2:00 p.m.  Tour of campus
  3:00 p.m.  Meet with a faculty member
  3:30 p.m.  Final check-in with admissions

This semester's Thursday class offerings include the following:

  • The Gospel of John: Entering into the Mystery - Nicholas King, SJ (8:30 am - 9:50 am)
  • Feminist Theology and Salvation - Nancy Pineda-Madrid (9:30 am - 12:00 pm)
  • Early Christian Ethics Seminar - Francine Cardman (9:30 am - 12:00 pm)
  • Sacraments in Catholic Life - Liam Bergin (3:15 pm - 6:00 pm)

Of course, you are welcome to visit on another weekday if Thursday does not work for you.  The Admissions Office will work to set up a visit for you depending on your schedule and availability.
