Alpha Sigma Nu Scholarship

Provided by the National Jesuit Honor Society, the Alpha Sigma Nu (ASN) scholarship is a $1,000 award to a student who is also an ASN member.

Amaturo Family Foundation

A limited number of awards are available to assist students in the M.A. in Pastoral Ministry and the M.Ed. programs with expenses related to degree study.

Anne M. Kitz Scholarship

A scholarship awarded to a lay student focusing on Biblical Studies with a high academic record who plans on enrolling in the M.T.S., M.Div., or Th.M. degree programs.

Baker-Arrupe Scholarship

A scholarship awarded to a student entering his or her final year with high financial need, demonstrated volunteerism, and a strong academic record.

Dean’s Scholarships

The School awards several full-tuition scholarships each year. The Dean’s Scholarships are available to applicants from any educational background or affiliation who have a strong record of both academic achievement and commitment of service to others. These scholarships are open to anyone enrolling in the M.T.S., M.Div., Th.M., M.Ed. or M.A. degree programs.

Defreitas Scholarships

For international religious students, the School offers full- and partial-tuition scholarships. Applicants must be international students who are ordained clergy or members of religious orders, who plan on enrolling in the M.T.S., M.Div., M.A., M.Ed., Th.M., S.T.L. or S.T.D. programs and who will return to their home country to assist with the theological and ministerial needs of those countries.

Developing World Scholarships

Two partial scholarships of $4,500 are awarded to students from the developing world each academic year toward tuition and other costs.

E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation

A limited number of awards are available to assist women enrolled in Hispanic Ministry programs.

Fruscione Family Foundation

A limited number of awards are available to assist students in the M.A. in Pastoral Ministry and M.Ed. programs returning to inner-city ministry.

Hispanic Ministry Tuition Scholarships
Boston College has put in place a generous scholarship program for students who plan to enroll in the M.A. Pastoral Ministry, Hispanic Ministry Concentration or the Hispanic Ministry Certificate Program.

Ignatian Scholarship
Jesuit education has a long and unique heritage, and we encourage alumni/ae from Jesuit institutions to continue their education. STM offers a full-tuition scholarship for the duration of the M.T.S., M.Div., Th.M., M.Ed. or M.A. degree program to a recent lay alumnus/a of a Jesuit college or university who possesses a strong record of academic achievement.

Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Scholarship
The School seeks to reward service by encouraging volunteers to continue the training needed to enhance their vocation. To this end, we offer a full-tuition scholarship to an outstanding Jesuit Volunteer Corps member or alumnus/a enrolling in the M.T.S., M.Div., Th.M., M.Ed. or M.A. degree program.

Loyola Scholarships, New England Dioceses
In keeping with its commitment to ministers and educators working in the dioceses of New England, Boston College offers special financial aid for people currently employed or who have volunteered for more than five years in a New England diocese in Church - related ministry. Generous financial aid is available for qualified applicants who have been admitted to a degree or certificate program. The New England Dioceses include Boston, Mass., Bridgeport, Conn., Burlington, Vt., Fall River, Mass., Hartford, Conn., Manchester, N.H., Norwich, Conn., Portland, Maine, Providence, R.I., Springfield, Mass., and Worcester, Mass.

Mary J. Donnelly Foundation
A limited number of awards are available to assist students in M.A. in Pastoral Ministry program concentrating in Youth & Young Adult Faith with expenses related to their degree studies.

Raskob Foundation
Relocation Grants of up to $5,000 to assist with moving and related expenses for former full-time volunteers (i.e., JVC, JVI, Marist, L’Arche and others) coming immediately out of volunteer work pursuing full-time graduate study in the M.A. in Pastoral Ministry, M.Ed., or C.A.E.S. programs. Only first-year full-time students may apply. A limited number of grants are also available to assist Hispanic Ministry students with travel expenses. Funds are limited.

Raymond Zeitz Scholarships
A scholarship awarded to a lay student with a high academic record who plans on enrolling in the M.T.S., M.Div., Th.M. or M.A. program.

Rita Fortier Fuller Scholarships
This scholarship covers up to 50 percent of tuition costs for two or three female students in any degree program, who, in the judgment of the school are particularly deserving of such assistance.

Total Community Catechesis Fellowships (supported by the Henry Luce Foundation and Boston College)
TCC Fellowships will be awarded to students in the M.Ed. in Religious Education with excellent academic standing and clear potential for leadership in parish catechesis.

General Tuition Scholarships
In addition, a number of partial tuition scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need.
