Thank you for your interest in the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. As a Catholic theological school in the Jesuit tradition, our faculty, staff and administration, student body, and even our campus embodies the concept of educating the "whole person." This is a school where academic rigor holds an equal place alongside spiritual and communal development. We at the STM strive to incorporate the theology being learned in the classroom into the personal lives of our students.

Our degree programs prepare students for ministries that are as diverse as the composition of the student body - Jesuits and other candidates approved for ordination studies, women and men for lay ecclesial ministries and for service rooted in faith, and scholars preparing for a career in academia.

We have a brilliant faculty, one of the largest collections of Catholic literature outside of the Vatican, an international student body, membership in the Boston Theological Institute, and a new, renovated building located in one of the best academic cities in the country - Boston. There are countless reasons why the School of the Theology and Ministry is one of the top centers for Catholic theological education in the world, but I would encourage you to come to campus and see for yourself all that we have to offer.

To receive information via mail, please complete our online inquiry form. Feel free to also contact the admissions office by e-mail or phone at 617-552-6535 if you have any questions about our school, our academic programs, theological education in general, or would like to schedule a visit to campus.

Good luck as you continue your process of discernment.
