Reading Scripture aloud is more than merely reading the words well; rather, we are called to proclaim fully all of the life within those words.  This workshop will introduce practical techniques, borrowed from the time-tested work of professional actors, to turn reading into vibrant proclamation—but not performance.  Opportunities to practice the skills presented will be provided, and participants will also learn how to make useful critiques that will help each other hone their skills.  Anyone who proclaims Scripture to others—lectors, deacons, presiders, cantors, catechists, ministry leaders—will benefit from learning how to make a proclamation truly soar.  This workshop is for experienced proclaimers as well as those new to the ministry, and is an excellent preparation for the liturgies of the Paschal Season. Register
