More than 50% of Catholics under the age of 18 in the United States are Hispanic. It is therefore imperative that all youth ministry leaders embrace models that respond to the shifting demographics transforming the face of the Church throughout this country. Dr. Carmen Cervantes will introduce the model Pastoral Juvenil Hispana as a treasure for the Church. She will explore Pastoral Juvenil Hispana in comparison to traditional models for youth ministry, its contributions and challenges, and will provide insights on the resources available for ministers working or planning to work with Hispanic youth.
