About

Fr. André Brouillette is a Jesuit priest from Quebec, Canada. He previously taught philosophy and Church history in Port-au-Prince (Haiti) at the Grand Séminaire Notre-Dame and the School of Theology for Religious (CIFOR). After studies in political philosophy and early modern European history, Fr. Brouillette specialized in patristics and biblical studies for his STL degree. His doctoral dissertation was rooted in systematic and spiritual theology, and explored the role of the Holy Spirit for salvation through the lens of the writings of St. Teresa of Avila. It has been turned into a book published in the prestigious Cogitatio Fidei series of the Editions du Cerf, in Paris.

Throughout his doctoral studies, Fr. Brouillette worked in the youth/vocation ministry team of the Archdiocese of Quebec and the Society of Jesus. He continues to give retreats and offer spiritual direction. Fr. Brouillette is a member of the scientific committee of the journal Teresianum (Rome), and leads the magazine Jésuites canadiens (Montreal). He serves on weekends at St. Charles Borromeo parish, in Woburn, MA.
