BC Recognized as World Leader in Theological Studies

Boston College places fifth among the world's top universities, and first among Catholic institutions, in the new 2017 QS World University Rankings for Theology, Divinity, and Religious Studies. “The School of Theology and Ministry takes learned ministry most seriously. Good theology undergirds effective ministry, which is reflected in this global ranking,” commented Dean Thomas Stegman, S.J. | BC News Story

Spring Exhibit
at the Theology and Ministry Library

The "White Rose" is an inspiring exhibition depicting student resistance against Hitler in Munich during 1942-43. Created by The White Rose Foundation, this traveling exhibit is sponsored by the Boston College Libraries in collaboration with the Consulate General of Germany to New England. Students, faculty, and staff as well as the greater Boston Community are warmly invited to experience the exhibition to learn about the individuals of the White Rose, their paths to resistance, actions, and persecution by the Nazi regime. | The exhibit runs until March 31, 2017.

Recap: A Theology of the People

The STM hosted an historic conference on the Present and Future of an Ibero-American Theology, a meeting of 40 Hispanic theologians from Latin America, Spain and the U.S. Attendees discussed the Church's call, through its ministry and evangelization, to focus on economically excluded communities, eliminating inequality, and uplifting disadvantaged people throughout the world. Read the Boston Declaration, the outcomes document from the participants of the conference. | BC News | Sampling of media coverage: Religion News Service, Boston Globe, Crux, Arizona Republic, Anchorage Daily News, San Diego Union Tribune, Miami Herald | In Spanish: La Gente (Radio La Primerisima) | Daily briefings by Periodista Digital: Feb. 6, Feb. 7, Feb. 8, Feb. 9, Feb. 12
