Ms. Solon has been a Psychiatric Nurse Clinician since 1983 and has worked as the Director of the Fresh Pond Mental Health Clinic; a Senior Nurse Clinical Specialist at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates; and in private practice. . Responsibilities have included psychiatric evaluations; medication evaluations and management; individual, family and group therapy; and the supervision of staff and graduate students. Ms. Solon has held faculty appointments at Harvard University and Boston College

Since joining the Boston College School of Nursing in 2001, Ms Solon has worked with graduate and undergraduate nursing students at the Caritas Carney Hospital, Newton Wellesley Hospital and McLean Hospital. She has worked on the CARE Project, a research study concerning postpartum depression.  Her clinical interests include major mental illness and women’s health issues. Ms. Solon received her BSN at Boston University and her MSN at Columbia University.  She is a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Specialist.
