Holly has been full time faculty member at Boston College since fall of 2005 after being a part time member since winter of 2004. In June of 2007 she assumed the role of director of the women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) program. She is a certified women’s health nurse practitioner and teaches advanced practice in women’s health nursing. She has also taught undergraduate and master’s entry maternity nursing clinical practicums, as well as given guest lectures in the master’s program maternal child theory and health assessment. Holly is also employed as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as a per diem NP in the Boston College student health services. Other practice experience includes working as a WHNP in two different OB/GYN private practices, as well as numerous years as a labor and delivery and high risk antepartum nurse. She is a co-investigator in research including work on cervical cancer, cognitive dissonance, and oral histories of early women’s health nurse practitioners. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, AWHONN, MCNP, NONPF, and the IAFN.
