Holly assumed the role of director of the women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP) program in June of 2007, and has been a faculty member at Boston College since winter of 2004. She is a certified women's health nurse practitioner and teaches advanced practice in women's health nursing and theoretical foundations in women's health and pediatric nursing. She also teaches in the new forensic nursing program, gives guest lectures in advanced health assessment, and precepts masters students at the Sidney Borum Health Center, where she works as a WHNP. Holly is also employed as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Other practice experience includes working as a WHNP in two different OB/GYN private practices, as well as numerous years as a labor and delivery and high risk antepartum nurse. She is a co-investigator in research including work on the human papillomavirus (HPV), cognitive dissonance, oral histories of early women's health nurse practitioners, and unwanted sexual experiences. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, AWHONN, MCNP, NONPF, and the IAFN.
