Test Prep Courses

To raise your confidence and test scores, outside preparations is essential. Test Prep courses are designed to help you achieve long-term career goals. Our program offers courses for the following exams:
- GRE-Graduate Record Exam
- GMAT-Graduate Management Admission Test
- LSAT-Law School Admission Test
- MCAT-Medical College Admission Test
- NCLEX-National Council Licensure Exam
These courses concentrate on critical skills necessary for test taking performance: test taking techniques, time management skills, logical reasoning, verbal skills, reading comprehension, math competence and writing skills.
We use the Six Step Approach to maximize students' test scores and comprehension of materials:
- Step 1: Pre-Assessment
- Step 2: Course Planning
- Step 3: Targeted Instruction
- Step 4: Practice & Reinforcement
- Step 5: Post-Assessment
- Step 6: Personal Study Plan
Each course is taught using past exam questions. This format allows students to familiarize themselves with question types that will appear when the exam is taken at a later date. Simulated materials are also used to teach question and strategy types. Our course materials are obtained from ETS, GMAC, and LSAC as well as Cambridge Educational Services.
Students who request additional assistance can either attend office hours or schedule an appointment with their instructor.
Both the GRE and GMAT exams are computerized. It is critical to practice in a similar environment. Class time and personal practice are available to test prep students in the Kennedy Resource Center.
Classes will be held on Middle Campus at Boston College. Confirmation letters will be sent with map and location if registration is received two weeks in advance of course start date.
Once enrolled in a BC test prep course, you are able to sit in the course again for only a $35.00 registration fee. Offer valid for one year from start date of your course.
Requests to transfer payments to another course, and cancellations, are only accepted in writing (or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org) four weeks prior to the start of the course.
A refund (less $50 administrative costs) is provided only if a cancellation is requested in writing (or by e-mail to email@example.com) four weeks prior to the start of the course. No refunds will be for cancellations requested after that date or for no-shows.
