It is our pleasure to invite you to the 16th annual Northeast Regional Nurse Practitioner Conference. The conference theme is “On the Pulse of Change: The Solutions and Leadership Nurse Practitioner Will Offer in the New Era of Healthcare Reform.”
We are delighted to welcome our keynote speaker Susan Gennaro, RN, DSN, FAAN. Dr. Gennaro is dean and professor at the William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College and editor of the Journal of Nursing Scholarship. She was previously the Florence and William Downs Professor of Nursing Research at the College of Nursing, New York University and has served on the faculty of the schools of nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Alabama in Birmingham and Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Gennaro is an internationally known perinatal nurse researcher who has helped change perinatal nursing practice based on her work on the antecedents and consequences of stress in families with preterm infants.
As always, the conference will provide a variety of workshops and clinical sessions led by a diverse faculty who are experts in clinical and professional issues. As part of the conference, we will once again host an evening reception Thursday May 7th at 5:30 pm. We welcome attendees to join us. The event will include recognition of nurse practitioners from Massachusetts and New Hampshire who have demonstrated excellence in professional practice. It will also provide an opportunity for networking and socializing. Please plan to attend your Nurse Practitioner State Association meeting during lunch on Thursday. If you do not belong to either organization we welcome you to join us and learn about the benefits of becoming a member. By attending, you will Become a part of the regional NP history and help create a vision for the NP’s of the future.
