NEW COURSES

Our new courses have been designed with the input of students, faculty advisors, and health care employers. Students who participate will benefit from the knowledge and experience of talented guest lecturers who are actively working in the health care field. Keeping up with the changing trends in clinical practice is imperative for all nurses. In addition, returning to the classroom fosters critical thinking and problem solving skills, which have always been and at the core of competency in nursing.

SPECIALTY COURSES

Nurses are often sought out as health care resources, regardless of their specific specialty area. Education and knowledge go hand in hand, and nurses who stay informed about health issues and trends are best equipped to educate their patients. As we look toward the future, nursing expertise in both patient and staff teaching will only become more crucial.

Think broadly about your professional development as you consider choices for licensure renewal and personal growth. Many nurses are setting goals for career changes within the nursing field. Honing your clinical skills will enhance your practice expertise as well as employment opportunities.
