This advanced practice course provides a comprehensive overview of the major class of medications used to treat psychiatric disorders. Topics include: assessing the need for medication, selection of medication, medical rule-outs, safe and proper monitoring, and beginning/advanced pharmacotherapy options. Individual classes may be attended for a fee of $68 each. This program will help advanced practice nurses prepare for prescriptive authority endorsed by state legislation.
