This practicum is designed for students who have completed Conversational Medical Spanish I & II and are working towards a certificate in Medical Spanish. Students learn to take a complete health history in Spanish using functional health pattern assessment tools. Under the direction of an NP, the practicum involves hands-on, interactive practice in a community center. Students work with Hispanic families providing primary and secondary care. Pre/Co-requisite: Conversational Medical Spanish I & II.
