Diabetes Update and New Treatments

With the prevalence of diabetes tripling within the past several years, nurse practitioners are pivotal in diagnosing, treating and educating patients about this chronic illness. This seminar will review the pathophysiology and diagnostic criteria of diabetes. Patient management including medications, diet, exercise, and self-care will be discussed.
