With the prevalence of diabetes continuing to rise, nurses and nurse practitioners are pivotal in assessing, treating, and educating patients about this chronic illness. This seminar will review the pathophysiology and diagnostic criteria of diabetes and endocrine disorders. Patient management including medications, diet, exercise, and self-care will be discussed.
