Year in Review 2011
Dear Connell School community,
I am extremely pleased to share with you this overview of the exciting activities that took place at the Connell School of Nursing during the 2010–2011 academic year. Our faculty, staff, and students received well-earned accolades in education, research, and service.
Once again this year, our community epitomized the Boston College ideal of being men and women for others, responding to the earthquake in Japan, the continued devastation in Haiti, and health care needs in countries such as Nicaragua as individuals and in groups.
A nurse who is also a Jesuit, Richard Ross, S.J., joined our community as part of our clinical faculty this year. Along with teaching, he is helping us ensure that our formation goals for our students are being met.
Our alumni continue to shine in leadership roles around the world. And I continue to take pride in being a part of a vibrant and extraordinary community whose signal accomplishments during the past academic year are outlined in this review.
