Donna Cullinan, a clinical assistant professor and community health practitioner for 30 years, received the University's 2011 Community Service Award, given each year to an employee who embodies the Jesuit spirit of service to others. Cullinan, who has been traveling to Haiti to volunteer her time and nursing services under the aegis of the nonprofit Circle of Hope for 10 years, has taken Connell students and alumni with her since 2008. Her 2011 visit, an all-nurse trip with 14 CSON students and alumni, was sponsored by the nursing school.
