Associate Professor recognized for nursing accomplishments
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (April 2014) --
Associate Professor Patricia Tabloski from the Connell School of Nursing, was among 50 graduates honored during Purdue University School of Nursing’s 50th Anniversary Gala in April.
Tabloski received a bachelor of science degree from Purdue, then earned a master’s degree from Seton Hall University and a doctoral degree from the University of Rochester.
Tabloski has committed her career to the teaching, practice, administration and research of gerontology. And had maintained a clinical practice for 20 years, providing primary care to nursing home residents.
Purdue University leaders said the event celebrated the achievements of some of its most prominent and memorable alumni.
The second edition of Tabloski’s textbook, Gerontological Nursing, received a 2009 Book of the Year award from the American Journal of Nursing.
Tabloski is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and the American Academy of Nursing.
