Katharine N. Cutting ’14 and graduate Cattleya May, M.S. ‘13, wrote about their experiences at last summer’s Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School Student Quality Leadership Academy. The article “Building Nurse Leaders Through the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School Student Quality Leadership Academy,” is in the April/May publication of Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing.
Cutting and May shared thoughts on the two-day event that brought together 150 students and residents to learn about leadership. During the summer academy, students have the opportunity to network with other future nurses, physicians, and health care administrators.
IHI Open School offers online courses, certificates, and the opportunity to network with peers and experts.
