CSON faculty and alumni receive MARN awards
Associate Professor Katherine Gregory received the Excellence in Nursing Research Award from the Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses at the organizations annual awards dinner and conference on April 27. Her research interests include disease prediction strategies, microbiome aspects of disease, and preterm infant nutrition and enteral feeding regimens, among others. In 2010, Gregory was named the inaugural Steven and Kathleen Haley Nurse-Scientist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
A pair of nursing school graduates were also honored at this year’s ceremony. Helen C. Fagan ‘58, the longtime director of the St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing who died in 2011, received the Excellence in Nursing Education Award. Cecilia McVey ’72, associate director for nursing/patient services for the VA Boston Health Care System, received Mary A. Manning Nurse Mentoring Award.
